| 1. Overview of ferrule joints The ferrule type pipe joint is composed of three parts: the joint body, the ferrule, and the nut. When the ferrule and nut sleeve are inserted into the joint body on the steel pipe, when the nut is tightened, the outer side of the front end of the ferrule fits with the taper surface of the joint body, and the inner blade bites into the seamless steel pipe evenly to form an effective seal. Second, the assembly of the ferrule joint installation 1、Saw a suitable length of seamless steel pipe to remove port burrs. The end face of the steel pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, and the angle tolerance should not be greater than 0.5 degrees. If the steel pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight line from the end face of the steel pipe to the bent part cannot be less than three times the length of the nut. 2、Set the nut and ferrule on the seamless steel tube. Pay attention to the direction of the nut and ferrule, do not install it backwards. 3、Apply lubricating oil on the thread and ferrule of the pre-assembled joint body, insert the steel pipe into the joint body, and tighten the nut by hand (the steel pipe must be inserted to the end). 4、Tighten the nut until the ferrule catches the steel pipe. This turning point can be felt by the increase in tightening torque (pressure point). 5、After reaching the pressure point, tighten the nut 1/2 turn. 6、Remove the pre-assembled joint body and check the embedding of the edge of the ferrule. The visible protruding band must fill the front end of the ferrule. The ferrule can rotate slightly, but cannot move axially. 7、To install, apply lubricant to the thread of the joint body in the actual installation, tighten the compression nut with it until the tightening force can be felt increases, and then tighten 1/2 turn to complete the installation. Repeat installation All ferrule joints can be reassembled many times, but the parts must be undamaged and clean。 1、Insert the steel pipe into the joint body until the ferrule is close to the conical surface of the joint body, and tighten the nut by hand. 2、Tighten the nut with a wrench until the tightening torque increases sharply, and then tighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn. an examination The steel pipe can be removed to check whether the assembly meets the requirements: there should be even slight protrusions on the steel pipe at the end of the ferrule. The ferrule cannot slide back and forth, but a slight rotation is allowed. Cause of leak 1、The steel pipe is not inserted all the way 2、The nut is not tightened 3、The outer surface of the steel pipe is scratched or the steel pipe is not round. 4、The steel pipe is too hard. |
